NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage features live text of the weekend matchups via various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard on designated networks for a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week in the NFL season , following recent discussion regarding two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their perfect starts.

Notable in those games was the number of infractions both committed. The Eagles committed them in key moments so they kind of beat themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the final quarter against Denver, who play overseas this weekend.

But it was good to see how Denver quarterback Bo Nix managed to have the shortfall before direct three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, to win the victory 21-17.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year with cornerback their star corner. They are number one in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in red zone offence, and Denver won that contest.

They had effective strategies regarding simulated pressure. They weren't always rushing extra defenders but they could plug two LBs in the 'A' gap before withdrawing them and dispatch a nickel from the outside.

Early on in the campaign, it was noted on a program that the Broncos could be the current year's dark horses. They ended the previous year strongly then excelled of building upon that.

Could Denver be this season's underdog story?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has excelled significantly and new RB their rusher is a player they believe in. He's currently fifth league-wide for rushing yards (402) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

It's impressive how the coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

That shows how Denver represent a team aiming to run first, because you can do a lot based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes and keeps you in positive down and distances.

This has helped QB the young passer, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess the arm strength to pass all over, however they don't move in the same way as Nix. He boasts incredible passing ability, a unique trait, and he is so athletic.

His assets include his mobility, being able to throw while moving, and using varied release points to make throws as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can throw precision throws across the middle or past defenders.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got a lot of composure in the pocket and isn't bothered by the blitz. He tries to avoid being tackled whenever possible and can pass under pressure. He has a high football IQ and remains quick to decide.

If you consistently run the ball it eats up the clock and forces the opponent to be on the field extended periods, and if you've got an athletic quarterback the defense has to defend the field vertically and horizontally. It can be draining.

The quarterback has pushed back at Payton during games at times and I think the coach likes that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to coach a rookie QB that is similar to play-dough. He can truly develop him how he wants to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

Payton owns a championship and now passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. I think the achievements the Broncos are having on offence is largely down to his leadership, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with the QB aids make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they good enough to face a top squad at its best? Because that was not championship-level play by the Eagles last Sunday.

Currently, I don't think Denver are elite. They're performing above average, which is a solid position to hold the AFC West. The key to do to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at embracing their strength, that is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do against the New York Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

New York have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the only team yet to win a game.

Since the NFL started recording turnovers in 1933, this team are the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway in five outings, this is surprising considering that their new coach was previously a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes says Kansas City are off to a poor start following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

Following the upcoming matchup, Denver face a manageable slate until their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could make a run at leading the West.

It depends upon which form of the Chiefs they face because Denver {beat|def
